In addition to passion, you must also be prepared to make a solid commitment to a disciplined program of flight training, at least weekly, with our CFI. You should also do your homework on the types and styles of Ultralights.
Here you will learn how to fly. You will learn the 'nuts and bolts' of your Flying Machine. You will learn from the best in the business! Pilots, radio wizards and Mechanics. Your Pre-flight will be perfect.
When we're through with you, you will be able to confidently fly a check ride with the most disciplined FAA CFI in the business. We don't screw around, and you'll find we're the best in SoCal! We turn out Pilots — Excellent Pilots! And have been doing so for years!

FAA Part 103 — What is an Ultralight?
Part 103.1 Applicability: This part prescribes rules governing the operation of ultralight vehicles in the United States. An ultralight vehicle is a vehicle that: (a) Is used for manned operation in the air by a single occupant; (b) Is used for recreation or sport purposes only; (c) Does not have any U.S. or foreign airworthiness certificate.
If powered: weighs less than 254 pounds empty weight; has a fuel capacity not exceeding 5 U.S. gallons; is not capable of more than 55 knots calibrated airspeed at full power in level flight; and has a power-off stall speed which does not exceed 24 knots calibrated airspeed.
Since 2010, the FAA has re-classified any Ultralight style flying machine that exceeds these requirements as a 'Light Sport Aircraft', requiring additional training and a Sport Pilot's license.
